The history of Feuerstein

2005

Madlaina Feuerstein, the granddaughter of poet Domenic Feuerstein, one day had the idea of producing care products with a connection to local nature.

In S-charl, on the edge of the national park, Domenic Feuerstein spent his life in nature. This is where the idea began: skincare products with extracts from Swiss mountain herbs and edelweiss - in collaboration with local farmers.

2006

Madlaina Feuerstein was inspired by her grandfather's nature books and photographs to create a skincare line with native plants.

A special fragrance has been developed for this purpose, which has a beneficial effect on the vegetative nervous system according to aromatherapeutic principles, because Feuerstein Essentials considers body and soul as one unit.

2007

The trained designer and her dedicated team worked on the product line for two years, and Feuerstein Essentials was ready for the market in 2007.

2008

For the daughter of the former SRF director and cameraman of numerous nature films, Mic Feuerstein, it was clear that the headquarters could only be in St. Moritz.

Madlaina Feuerstein is an Engadine native who enjoys living in the city, but always returns to the mountains. "For me, Feuerstein Essentials is an ideal combination of my two worlds - between urbanity and nature."

2009

The sales of the first products
took place among friends, and soon some concept stores expressed interest in the products, which set the ball rolling.

2010

The care products from Feuerstein Essentials have been delighting guests at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel since fall 2010.

2011

Together, the two companies created a new, exclusive fragrance for the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel and the Grand Hotel Bellevue in Gstaad in 2010.

2012

Since then, the company has grown steadily and to this day the products are shipped to numerous major customers such as luxury hotels, spas and concept stores in Switzerland and abroad.

2013

Feuerstein Essentials products are used wherever people want to treat themselves to something good for body and soul.

2019

In 2019, Madlaina Feuerstein decided to devote herself to new creative projects and hand over Feuerstein Essentials to younger hands. Mara and Oliver Wulkan took over and continue to run the brand with fresh energy and passion.

2021

A rebranding took place in 2021: the logo was reduced to the essentials and the product design was renewed. The new icon, the letter F, complements the existing logo and embodies the reduction to the essentials: Natural beauty.
